We’re very proud of the services we offer our customers – across both our care homes and our day centres. But when what we do is recognised by industry membership bodies too, it feels extra special. This year, Millsted Care, Dayspace and the wonderful people we have as part of our team have been recognised at both the Bromley Adult Care Awards and the Surrey Care Awards.
Bromley Adult Care Awards
Building on our success in the 2023 awards, this year’s Bromley Adult Care Awards saw Adam Cartwight from our Dayspace Penge centre win Worker of the Year – Day Centres.
We’re incredibly proud of Adam and the recognition of his fantastic work and dedication to providing high quality support for adults with a learning disability. Dayspace is lucky to have you!
Surrey Care Awards
Heading into the awards, Dayspace had been shortlisted in both the ‘People with impact’ and ‘Providers with impact’ sections, in the ‘Care worker of the year: Supported living/Day & community services’ and ‘Supported living/Day & community services provider of the year’ categories.
Things didn’t go our way on the night when it came to our two finalist awards. But little did we know that a surprise was just around the corner… the Special Recognition Award – Care Innovators: Dream Makers!
Described by the judging panel as “the future of day services commissioning”, we were beyond delighted to receive this special award, for our innovative and forward-thinking approach to day services commissioning for learning disabled adults.
Hannah Millsted-Bowdery, CEO of Millsted Care and Dayspace, said of winning of the award:
